Digital driving metrics provide useful information on the mobility of patients with dementia or PD

Driving patterns may help identify early stages of dementia or Parkinson’s disease (PD), according to researchers at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, USA.

Early cognitive decline, and changes in motor function, can both affect driving behaviors, the researchers noted. Sensors that track driving behavior can be used to generate real-world data tracking patterns in driver mobility that may correlate with disease severity.
